Well, we're already two minutes overtime and Mariah Carey just took the stage. Randy Jackson's on stage backing her up on bass, so I guess they really do know each other after all. That aside, the performance is kind of screamy, but I'm digging the gospel singers.
"Idol Gives Back" is a wrap, Seacrest says.
But wait...who's sending us out? It's the 8 finalists again, singing "Shout to the Lord." With the backup gospel singers, of course. Actually, it's kind of a good performance.
And with that, we've saved the world.
Wait again...Ben Stiller is back for something that is not funny.

I guess the Idol censors just couldn't let the original lyrics of 'Shout to the Lord' get through without some modification...
i thought the performance was great! I'm surprised they've gotten all christian on us, but i'm not complaining. what lyrics were changed? I didn't even notice...
