8:48 Time for Chikezie, a guy who's apparently already BFF with the judges. OK, clarification. They explain he auditioned last year -- even though Randy thinks it was Season 3 -- and they weren't feeling him. He pulls out some Luther Vandross, a decent version, but becomes annoying really quickly. He won't stop singing when Simon asks him to, and gets a little snotty while Simon critiques his performance.
Still...Paula, at least, seems to like him.
We don't see the judges' vote, but he gets an OK for Hollywood.

I liked him! He had a smooth, velvety voice and I think he honestly didn't hear simon say "Thank you" to stop him. And I don't think he was being snotty.. I just think he didn't know what to say when Simon was implying how boring his performance was. So did he get to Hollywood last year too?
