It's still producers' choice round, and here's Syesha Mercado.
Song: "Hit Me Up"
Me: Another very awkward song choice. This song is from the movie "Happy Feet." Nuff said. But I'll say more. It's not an incredibly awful song, and Syesha sounds good, but the tune itself is just way too reliant on backup singers. As illustrated by the unbelievable amount of air time they got here. Did anyone else notice that? And in the end, "Hit Me Up" showcases just some excessive belting -- nothing we haven't seen from Syesha before.
Randy: "It was just OK for me."
Paula: "I don't know if it's the type of song that defines Syesha as an artist."
Simon: "You had your best moment last week with the Sam Cooke song."
