I think my early forecast of Haley's departure might be incorrect. Yes, she forgot her words and served up another lackluster performance. Still, I think the candid emotion -- tears and all -- she showed during the judging process gave her a sense of humanness that she lacked in earlier stages of this competition. And that might just be enough to save her. Tonight, at least.
So who's going home? I think there's a good likelihood it'll be Brandon Rogers. Not only did he forget his words, but he also made it visibly clear that he was out of his league. Plus, his mediocre showing as the night's first singer makes him a prime candidate for the infamous curse of the first.
