Whoa...we're off to a really, really quick start. The first performer just hit the stage at 8:02 p.m. Oh, and this week each contestant has to share something we don't know about him or her. Yikes. Believe me, sometimes it's better to operate on a don't ask, don't tell policy. Really.
1. Blake Lewis...apparently we don't know that he makes up characters and transforms his identity. Cool.
Song: "All Mixed Up," by 311
Me: I love Blake. He always takes risks, and tonight is no exception. Gotta love the beat boxing. And thanks for taking me back to my seventh-grade ska phase, Blake.
Randy: "That was hot, dude. I loved it."
Paula: "This was really cool. Good job."
Simon: "You kind of stand out in the crowd...you will 100 percent be here next week."
Score: 8/10
2. Sanjaya...OK, total shocker here. We're supposed to be surprised to find out that he's a hula dancer. I would have never guessed. What's the next surprise...he has a second residence at Neverland Ranch?
Song: "Waiting on the World to Change"
Me: Yikes. This is a performance that could actually make Jessica Simpson break up with John Mayer merely for recording a song used on AI. Sanjaya isn't even really singing. He's just talking. And sporting straightened hair and a really creepy earring.
Randy: "That wasn't really that great."
Paula: "I really don't know what else to say other than to just keep trying."
Simon: "It wasn't a very good vocal, but maybe it's your hair that's keeping you in."
Score: 4/10
3. Sundance...what a trickster. Sundance twisted the question to make a joke telling us that we don't know he's actually skinny in real life. Amazing. If singing doesn't work out, he can always be a stand-up comic.
Song: "Jeremy"
Me: Whoa. Sundance suddenly got good. What's up with this transformation? If Eddie Vedder was dead, he'd be rolling over in his grave right now. (That comment was courtesy of one of my viewing partners. Thanks, Lisa.) But really...I can't get over his transformation. We didn't even get any chest hair tonight.
Randy: "That was kind of hot right there."
Paula: "Midway through you really kicked into your Sundance groove."
Simon: "I think you lost your charm this week."
Score: 6/10

Sonya may be a self-proclaimed Idol expert, but here's my take on the performers tonight.
1. Blake: He wasn't even singing on key! 3/10
2. Sanjaya: I LOVE the straightened hair. It's flatter and almost as good as if he'd cut it. And he didn't almost cry this week. Give the boy a 5/10.
3. Sundance: Still nothing special. 5/10
sanjaya is michael jackson's love child and he can't sing like michael can't but i want to see him dance. he probly has some moves
awww what what! shoutout! no, i bet eddie vedder really does watch the show ... while brooding. it's not like he does much else nowadays.
