ai in the atl

In which competition does your vote mean more?
"American Idol"
Presidential election

Yes, it's Super Tuesday, but it's also the much-anticipated premiere of AI's Atlanta auditions. And while some AI fans will forgo tonight's live blogging in favor of watching election results, I'll be a die-hard slave to Seacrest.

Not to endorse political apathy or anything, but you should totally check out this blog tonight. Reasons:

*I was AT the Atlanta auditions, so you'll get quick inside info on the city's top contenders. Like Alex Lushington, the singer I mentioned in today's feature piece. See her MySpace here.

*Paula Abdul is hotter than Hillary Clinton.

*As opposed to the rhetoric-packed election shows, the only words you won't understand on AI involve Randy Jackson's use of "dawg."

*You can get all the election info in Wednesday's Ledger-Enquirer anyway.

Tonight's one-hour show starts at 8 p.m. on Fox.
