Last up in contestant's choice round? David Cook.
Song: "Dare You To Move"
Me: Cook takes the stage with a guitar, offering what is initially a kind of subdued version of this Switchfoot tune. Again, things pick up at the chorus, when Cook rocked out in characteristic form. It seems like an odd, safe choice, unfortunately. He hits all the original notes, but doesn't add the originality we've grown to expect. Seems very much like his take on "Hungry Like The Wolf."
Randy: "It wasn't your best."
Paula: "You just got to the beginning when it hit the end of the song."
Simon: "I don't think it was the best I would have expected."
