So Stephanie's departure isn't a surprise. She wasn't a bad singer, but there's only room for so many belters, and Stephanie was the weakest of the pack. Plus, her I knew her Beyonce imitations would only last so long.
Lesson learned? This competition is about uniqueness and consistency. Stephanie didn't have either of those. Her energy was on a continued decline and she didn't do anything to separate herself from the unrivaled talent of Melinda and LaKisha. While Jordin learned to distance herself from the competition quickly, Stephanie did nothing to build her own fan niche.
