8:02 It's time for Josh Jones, who "works with glass." Awkward. Cue the Annie Lennox music, naturally. I didn't see him in Atlanta, but whatever. He pulls out some Queen, very expressively, with some weird interpretive body moves. He's not an entirely bad singer, though.
The judges stop him, on account of the eye moves he's doing. Anyway, he ends up singing with his back to the judges, and they stop him mid-song. "Something we should have done to Clay Aiken a long time ago," Simon says. Ouch. Still don't know what they're referring to.
Anyway, Josh gets the OK for Hollywood, even with Simon's no. A little undeserved, I thought. He was way too showy and, hello, you have to be able to face the audience when you sing.
Even Shrek had to do it last season.
Shrek = Melinda Doolittle.

I think they were saying that Clay was a little freaky looking. And I would agree.
