Here we go! Ryan calls this the closest race we've ever seen. Hmm.

Anyway, first up is Archuleta with judge's choice. Paula picked his, perhaps while under the influence of certain illegal substances.

Me: Well, Paula didn't do much to deviate from the typical Archuleta mode. It's a typical ballad that at times the love lost seems way too mature for a guy who can't even muster a coherent response to a question about challenges he's faced this season. There's some nice vocal control at points, and I give him credit for appearing unfazed by the whole daddy situation, but this performance doesn't do much to expand his fan base. A slow, reflective tune that talks about love. Big surprise.
