more on curly

Have a great AI-free weekend. Not much new on the "Idol" front, but this morning I did come across this AP article, in which recently booted contestant Chris Sligh says he considered quitting AI two weeks before his elimination.

His incentive to stick around? A spot on the "Idol" summer tour, which reportedly pays its singers very nicely. Only the top 10 -- out of the 12 finalists -- get to tour, though. Had Chris been booted a week earlier, he would have been out of luck.

The article also references Chris' expulsion for the fundamentalist Bob Jones University, reportedly the result of his attendance at a contemporary Christian concert by the group 4Him.

Oh, and in case you were wondering about Chris' comment that Phil Stacey owes him $50...the two allegedly made a bet in which Phil said Chris was safe and Chris said he wasn't.

Chris won. But maybe he lost the game of talent.

I LOVED Chris Sligh. But now with his 10th place status, I doubt he'll even get to sign to make a CD. I would buy it, though, so let us know what happens with him.

Something tells me that $50 will go towards a new perm and a night to eat his heart out after the upset.
